The Hassan II regional hospital in Khouribga is witnessing tension and anger among its workers, due to the targeting of the trade union freedoms and workers by the director of the hospital.
The union office of the National Federation of Health of the Moroccan Workers’ Union organized protest movements against these arbitrary practices, which need the intervention of the Ministry of Health and its regional officials, as well as the concerned authorities to investigate their violations and to redress the victims of this reprisal mentality.
The trade union sources affirm that the authorities are strangely lenient with the abuses of this director and that it did interfere, in respect of the law, to ensure the neutrality of the administration, which led the latter to be more authoritarian.
The social situation in the hospital is expected to witness growing tension and escalating protest movements, if the authorities continue to behave this way.
