The executive office of the bakery workers’ syndicate in Beirut and Mount Lebanon condemned the arbitrary expulsion of workers in many companies and institutions without any compensation or warning. It called for the preservation of the National Social Security Fund and its offers to the insured, the employees and the of the protection of the insured rights.
The executive office condemned any increase in taxes imposed on workers and low-income people, as well as the deduction of the employees' salaries and the imposition of a 2% tax on products, stating that the government should focus on stopping the brokerage instead.
