It is expected that the European Union allocate annual financial support to Morocco to meet the challenges of the irregular migration crisis, under the pressure from the Spanish government.
El País, the pro- Spanish Socialist government newspaper, revealed citing sources from the European Commission that a study is currently conducted to allocate an annual financial support to Morocco (50 million euros).
According to El País newspaper, the idea came to counter and manage the irregular migration crisis, whether from the sub-Saharan Africa or the young Moroccans themselves, after the increase in the number of migrants through the Moroccan gateway to Spain, during the first months of this year.
