During the 27th and 28th of May 2019 dozens of journalists and employees from Al Ghad newspaper launched a protest to ask the administration to adhere to its commitments and obligations, as agreed with the Journalists’ Syndicate.
The protesters called for the urging in the improvement of the standards of the health insurance policy, raising banners that expressed their adherence to all their demands and rights and their rejection of their arbitrary dismissal.
They stressed the unity among journalists, employees, and the printing press workers, announcing their intention to implement other escalatory steps, which could reach the launching an open-ended strike.
