In light of the recent developments in Libya: 25 thousand refugees may come to Tunisia

The field coordinator of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Naoufel Tounsi, held a series of meetings with the Tunisian government, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the various concerned parties on the situation of Libya to "update the emergency plan and control the mechanisms of intervention, in light of the developments in the country."

He explained in a statement to the Tunisian newspaper "Al-Sabah Al-Osboui", on Monday, that this plan includes determining the location of the camp or the accommodation center allocated for the expatriates and the quality of the aid provided to them. He pointed out that the renewal of the emergency plan comes in anticipation of any escalation in Libya and the possibility of the influx of 25 thousand persons to Tunisia.
