The judicial officials decide to strike in three provinces, in Yemen, next Sunday

The employees and workers of the judiciary in Aden, Lahj and Abyan governorates are expected to enter in an open-ended strike, on Sunday, following the Union the Judiciary workers’ call, in protest against the non-meeting of their suspended demands.

“Aden Al-Hadath” website confirmed that the members of the administrative board of the union issued a statement confirming the need to coordinate with the Judges Club to make an urgent appeal for the implementation of the Supreme Judicial Council Decision No. 43 of 2018, regarding the increase of 75 thousand riyals ($ 300) as a compensation for the high prices, especially during Al Eid.

In its statement, the union hold the judiciary and the Ministry of Finance full responsible for the non-meeting of the administrators’ legitimate demands, explaining that these two parties did not adhere to their commitments and agreed with the Minister of Justice on March 25th of this year. Moreover, the union is angry about the judiciary administration’s ignoring of the Ministry of Justice, the Attorney General for the workers’ demands and the judiciary employees.
