A large group of contractual teachers of the National Coordinating Committee of the Contractual Teachers gathered on Sunday, in front of the headquarters of Safi province in a solidarity demonstration with the father of the contracting teacher, who suffered a severe head injury as well as body fractures, during the dismantling of the teachers’ strike on Thursday night,25 April in Rabat.
The protestors condemned the security intervention that caused the injury of Huda Hajilij’s father from the Safi district, who is still in a coma for the eleventh day and is lying in the recovery department of the Suez Hospital in Rabat.
The protesters carried banners and pictures of the injured father asking for the allowing of his family to visit him.
The coordination asked to reveal the details of the father’s health status, as according to the “Alaoual” website there is no accurate information regarding his health, as the hospital’s management prevents his family members from visiting him.
The coordination members confirmed in media statements the continuation of their protest movements to pressure the authorities to provide the family of Huda Hajili with her father’s medical report.
