The Declaration of Freedom and Change authorities in Sudan informed the Sudanese public about their entry into dialogue and negotiation with the army leadership on Saturday, stressing their commitment to hand over power to a transitional civil authority that carries out the functions of the transitional period and "lays the foundation for a democratic civil state that would make freedom, peace and justice a reality and not a mere dream."
According to the communiqué, the first issue of the negotiations concerned the formation of the Interim Governing Council, in which the members of the Declaration of Freedom and Change authorities adhered to the transitional arrangements document emanating from the Declaration of Freedom and Change, thus, the meeting was adjourned to allow each party to consult.
The Declaration of Freedom and Change authorities confirmed their adherence to the position they announced during the protests.
