On last Monday morning, dozens of employees of the Hashemite University organized a protest vigil in protest against some of the university's policies and presidency, considering that they were unfair to the university employees.
The protesters are asking for the increase in the health insurance benefits to the hospitals contracted with the university, as some doctors refuse to receive the employees of the Hashemite University because they are not satisfied with the granted allowances instead of the university insurance.
They are also asking for the changing of the status of some daily temporary workers, who have been working for more than 10 years to permanent and official workers at the university, in addition to the admission of the academic qualifications of those who have obtained their degrees while working at the university, which requires an additional allowance.
It is noteworthy that there is a selective transfer of some employees to work in administrative posts without any conditions, which led the workers ask for the standards taken by the university to transfer some of the employees to work in administrative posts.
