The judicial police force in the city of Nador, in coordination with the National Judicial Police Division, arrested 5 people in the province of Nador, on last Thursday morning, on suspicion of being part of a criminal network operating in the organization of irregular migration, based on accurate information provided by the Directorate General of the Surveillance National territory.
The Directorate General of National Security stated in a communiqué that this operation was organized by the Moroccan security services and the Spanish national police.
The operation resulted in the arrest of a bus driver, known by the police for irregular migration cases, who was arrested while he was transferring five migrants from the sub-Saharan Africa.
In-depth research and investigation led to the arrest of four other shareholders from the city of Nadour and Bani Wakil Al-Mahadhid, who are suspected of being part of the same case of transferring irregular migrants from the northern shores of the kingdom.
The inspection procedures carried out in this case enabled the detention of nine rubber boats and 12 speedboats’ motors, as well as two cars and a set of mechanical and electronic items used for maritime navigation.
The suspects were kept and the investigations continued, in order to reveal all the details of this case both in Morocco and Spain, as well as the arrest of all the possible perpetrators in this case.
