According to the local authorities, two people died, while 26 others were injured, including four people in a serious situation, following a traffic accident that resulted in the overturn of a bus carrying workers to a fishing unit, on Tuesday morning, in Anza in Agadir.
The relevant authorities opened an investigation, under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor, to determine the circumstances of the incident.
Some sources, close to the investigation suggested that the direct cause for the accident was the break of the bus brakes.
The same sources indicated that the driver managed to control the bus at the first high slope, which lessened the number of victims.
Moreover, the bus was carrying 32 workers and the accident resulted in the death of two women while thirty others were transferred to the regional hospital, Hassan II.
On the other hand, a medical source said that four people were seriously injured, including the driver and a child of no more than two years, while 26 workers are receiving the necessary treatment and have left the hospital.
