The Mauritanian secondary school teachers entered into a three-day national strike, on Monday.
The strike, which was called by the Independent Association of Secondary Education Teachers aims to pressure the ministry's will to open a dialogue about the teachers’ demands.
The teachers are asking for the introduction of the wiring system, the increase in salaries and the provision of housing, which are the demands raised by teachers during the past weeks’ protests.
