The forces of freedom and change confirmed in a joint statement, yesterday, that the procedures for the nomination of candidates for the Transitional Civil Authority have reached advanced stages and that they will be announced, next Thursday, giving apologies for the delaying of the date of the announcement that was supposed to be on Sunday, in order to further deepen their consultation.

In fact, they announced that there will be three levels in the Transitional Civil Authority, which operate according to the transitional constitutional document drafted by the forces of the Declaration of Freedom and Change. These levels include: A civilian presidential council that carries out the sovereign functions of the state, a transitional civilian legislative council that carries out the transitional legislative tasks, representing the people’s demands and rights; where it includes all the revolutionary forces of youth and women and takes into consideration the Sudanese multi-ethnic, religious and cultural diversity; and finally, a small cabinet of a number of national professionals and expertise experience, that would perform the executive functions and implement the emergency program for the transitional period.
The forces of freedom and change’s statement confirmed the continuation of strikes in the national capital before the General Command of the armed forces, and off the headquarters of its protectors and units in other places, in different cities, while continuing the use of all the peaceful tools, until the achievement of the Declaration of Freedom and Change’s goals.
They confirmed that they did not accept any further military rule or intervention and that it will not accept any contact with the old totalitarian guards, in addition to their refusal to negotiate with the coup authority that represents the old new system, according to the statement.
