The Moroccan Workers’ Union: The Finance Union organizes protests and calls the Minister of Economy for dialogue

The National Democratic Union of Finance, a member of the Workers’ Union, called on the Minister of Economy and Finance to initiate a dialogue on the project’s basic system for the Ministry of Economy and Finance workers to ensure job and social stability and maintain the financial security of the country.

The union registered during its National Assembly, last Friday, the slowness of the management in the implementation of the Minister's commitment to meet with the National Democratic Union of Finance on January 24, 2019 through the activation of the agreement’s provisions on 13 February 2015 on allowances, stressing the need to accelerate the processing of this file.

Moreover, it called for the establishment of a joint committee between the ministry and the National Democratic Union of Finance to establish a system for the supplementary retirement for the employees of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, as a vital mechanism to ensure the dignity of the employees, expressing the condemnation of restrictions on the trade union work carried out by the head of the kingdom’s budget against the constitutional requirements and social legislation. Besides, it pointed out that the ministry is required to assume its responsibilities regarding the kingdom’s public treasury tension, abuse of power, the deprivation of many employees of their acquired rights, in particular allowances. In fact, it decided to authorize the National Office to take all forms of protest against these abusive practices by the ministry.

The union renewed its solidarity and support for the struggles by various groups working in the ministry, including managers, technicians, engineers, administrative assistants, second-handers and university graduates, in the light of the establishment of a basic system for the ministry's employees.
