The social security workers in Tunisia launched a strike on 15 and 16 April in protest against the intransigence of the supervisory authority and its failure to deal positively with the administrative body’s demands.
The employees call on the issuance of the previously agreed basic system, the implementation of the agreement of October 8, 2014, the settling of the administrative and financial effect of internal exams and the solving of the collective insurance problem.
They also called for the review of the classification of offices, regional and local centres, clinics and centres of orthopaedic service machines.
The strike included the Pension and Social Insurance Fund, the National Social Security Fund, the National Health Insurance Fund, the social security clinics, the orthopaedic service machinery-making centers and the Center for Research and Social Studies with all its branches.
