The Egyptian Prime Minister, Mustapha Medbouli, announced that the value of the state budget for the raising of wages and pensions reaches 60 billion Egyptian pounds ($ 3.47 billion).
Medbouli discussed this issue during the cabinet meeting on Wednesday, in which the council approved a bill to increase pensions by 15 percent, starting from July 1st.
The Egyptian President, Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi, announced the increase in the minimum wage for all civil servants in the country from 1200 to 2000 pounds (from 69.44 to 115.74 dollars).
He also announced the increase of pensions by 15 per cent with a minimum of 150 pounds, as well as a raise in the minimum pension to 900 pounds.
