The Spanish Coast Guard rescued 19 Moroccan migrants, including 3 children and a woman, on the coasts of the southern city of Cadiz in the Andalusia province, after intercepting the boat that was traveling from one of the kingdom's northern coasts.
The high security command in the city of Cadiz states that the Spanish navy managed to aid the Moroccans migrants in the waters adjacent to the beach of "Cortadura", noting that some of them suffered from hypothermia, which required their transfer to the hospital "Porta Delmar" in order to receive the necessary care.
According to the same official source, officers of the Spanish National Police and members of the Civil Guard intercepted a rubber boat, which lacks the minimum safety conditions, adding that these migrants were transferred to a police station in the municipality of San Fernando for investigation.
According to the Spanish newspaper "Hespress", quoting the Spanish newspaper "El Diario La Prensa", the detainees were wearing wet clothes and suffered from hypothermia because of the cold weather, highlighting in the same context that the three children were dizzy, which required the presence of the Red Cross to be subjected to medical tests.
