Sudan: Dozens of Sudanese women strike in front of the intelligence buildings to ask for the release of their detained sons

Dozens of the detainees’ families launched a strike by the Sudanese authorities, yesterday, inside the security buildings, to ask for the release of their arrested children due to the recent protests.

Since February 22, President Omar Al-Bashir's emergency law started to be implemented after it has been passed by parliament.

Some pictures showed the huge crowds inside the security buildings, in the heart of the capital city, Khartoum, including mothers and young women whose husbands and/or children have been held by the authorities because of the protests, which started, three months and a half ago.

Since 19 December of last year, the Sudan's cities have been in a state of protest that has evolved from economic demands to calling for the overthrown of the regime.
