The workers of the oil company in Aden organized a protest, in front of the governorate headquarters, yesterday, following the Coordination Council of the trade union committees of the Yemen Oil Company invitation.
This escalation comes in defence of the company and its legitimate legal rights, and the employees’ rights regarding the definitive closure of the illegal fuel pipelines in Aden Refinery Company, due to its damage to the company, the citizen and public interests.
The union council pointed out that in case of the continuation of the state’s negligence and non-response to the employees’ demands to shut down the new illegal fuel bins in the refinery, the council will escalate its protest, through the organization of several peaceful vigils at the entrance to Briga city, in order to stop the transit of fuel transport trucks of the Aden Refinery Company.
On Tuesday, another protest will take place in front of the presidential palace gate in Maashik.
