The regional union for Sidi Slimane trade unions, under the Moroccan Workers’ Union decided to organize a march on April 3, 2019 to the IMPREMUM MEDIA company, as well as a protest on the 4th of the same month, in front of the headquarters of the Agricultural Development Agency, in Rabat and another one on 10 April, in front of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Integration in Sidi Slimane.
This protest program was adopted in response to the blatant violations of the trade union, collective bargaining, as well as the fabrication of malicious charges and trials, the negligence of fair demands and the ignoring of the workers’ chronic problems.
The regional union denounced the deterioration of the occupational and social conditions of the three agricultural estates: FIJITALIS, COSIMAGRI, and PLANET PRODUCTION, as well as the regional construction bureaus, and the companies: “Acroslim”, “Fidalim” and “Arkalim”.
The local union also condemned the mass expulsion of all members of the trade union office of IMPREMUM MEDIA in Sidi Yahia, expressing its condemnation of the restrictions on the trade union freedoms, the violation of the labour law and the manipulation of the workers' fate, asking for the cancellation of the partnership contracts with the investors, who did not respect the charge notebooks, as well as the activation of the follow-up committees, and the accusing of the Agricultural Development Agency of being the responsible of the current situation of the in the agricultural farms.
