The Ministry of Education sanctioned the professors, who have been protesting and striking over the past week until today by replacing these professors by others, and started cutting the wages of the professors, who participated in the strike.
An official source of the coordination of the contracted professors said that the measures taken will not discourage the protestors from completing their protest, stressing that the ministry is seeking to weaken the protest movement by spreading an atmosphere of psychological and economic intimidation through the deduction of salaries.
The contracted professors are asking for their full integration in the public service and the cancellation of their contracts.
