The Rabat Court of First Instance sentenced yesterday 6 months of suspended imprisonment for the Democratic Confederation of Labour (CTD) leader, Abdelkader Hissen, and the four journalists.
The verdict was delivered amid a crowd of trade unionists, journalists and civil society activists, who raised in front of the court, asking for the prosecution of the corrupts and denouncing the court because of its unfair trial. In fact, the “accused” did nothing but publishing correct information with the right to keep the confidentiality of the sources, according to Article 5 of the Press Law.
