The chairman of the Jordan Phosphate Mines Company agreed to return 38 workers, starting from next Sunday morning, who were working with a local contractor in the company and were dismissed last week for organizing a strike inside the company.
This came following the intervention of the governor in their case and his meeting with the Chairman of the Board of Directors and a number of officials in the company and the director of the work of Aqaba.
We mentioned in a previous e-newsletter that dozens of workers from the company (industrial complex) in Aqaba organized a strike last Sunday to ask for their permanent appointment in the company, as they have been working for more than seven years as temporary workers.
