The National Social Security Fund (CNSS) and Tunisia Telecom (government) signed a partnership agreement on the launching of a mobile application to facilitate the integration of rural women and agricultural workers into the social coverage system, coinciding with International Women's Day.
The Minister of Social Affairs said during a press conference that a draft governmental order concerning the revision and completion of Order No. 916 of 2002 of 22 April 2002 concerning the implementation methods of Law No. 32 of 2002 of 12 March 2002 ruling the social security system for some category of workers in the agricultural and non-agricultural sectors to include an important group of women in the rural sector from outside the social coverage system.
This measure will include some 500 000 rural women working in the agricultural sector, who do not have a fixed job and are not covered by other social coverage schemes.
This application will facilitate the integration of this group of rural women into the social coverage system by bringing services closer and avoiding mobility burdens.
