The coordination of the educational sector rights in Tripoli called for the separation of the public education from the higher education and the dismissal of the current Minister of Education and his agent because of their failure to provide the needs of the sector and called the teachers to stop working.
In a statement, the coordination stressed the need to release the salaries of the education sector that haven’t been paid since January and the implementation of Law No. (4) issued by the legislative body, as well as the payment of salaries of contractors and collaborators and the payment of a quota for all teachers for the year 2016/2017 and 2017-2018.
The coordination also called for the implementation of an increase of 40% for the inspectors with a monthly salary and threatened to enter in a strike in all schools to protest against these catastrophic conditions.
