A security source revealed on Tuesday the details about the theft of the Sulaymaniyah hospital workers’ salaries, amounting to one billion dinars (about 840 thousand dollars).
The source told the local media that unknown gunmen riding a "Nissan Patrol" with no licence plate, stopped the car that was transporting the salaries of the hospital workers and stole all the money and fled to an unknown destination.
It added that the incident took place in the area of "Mel Kennedy" inside the city of Sulaymaniyah, pointing out that there are checkpoints in the streets of the province to search for the gang and return the money to the hospital.
