Hundreds of trade unionists and activists from the civil and political society gathered on last Wednesday at the Court of First Instance in Rabat, following the Democratic Confederation of Labour’s call, raising banners and slogans in solidarity with the leader and parliamentarian, Abdelkader Hissen, and the four journalists in what is known as the case of leaking “The work’s ethic procedures of the Parliamentary Fact-Finding Committee regarding the Moroccan Retirement Fund”
Outside the courthouse, the front of the court was filled with the confederates wearing yellow-suites, along with yellow flags and banners denouncing and condemning the trial of Abdelkader Hissen and the four journalists, considered it as a political trial that aims to violate the trade union right.
The leadership of the Confederation of Democratic Labour confirmed that the trial of the parliamentarian and the general secretary of the National Union of Higher Education Employees, Abdelkader Hissen, along with four journalists, is a political trial.
