The teachers in Morocco's education sector launched a national strike on 20 February, following the call of the National Federation of the Moroccan Workers’ Union and organized a rally in Rabat.
The strike was a major success, reflecting the legitimacy of teachers' demands and the extent to which they encircle their union structures.
The federation called on the cancellation of contracts and boycott the extension of the contract, as well as the integration of teachers, who were forced to contract in the public service, and defend the public school and all the affected groups, as well as the confirmation of the absolute rejection of the basic system of the academic workers.
