The drivers, working with the smartphone applications launched a strike, last Sunday in front of the Transport Regulatory Authority (TRA) to protest against the government's decision for putting a stamp in their doors.
The Jordanian Labour Observatory said that the drivers are asking for the cancellation of this decision by putting only stickers on the glass, and extend the operating life of cars up to 7 years from the date of its manufacture, and oblige the companies to disclose their internal law.
They also ask to stop the companies from deducting more than the fixed percentage, asking whether the car is covered by insurance for the permit. In addition, the delayed permits should be given to their owners, and the job should not be linked to the smart applications.
The drivers, working with the smartphone applications threatened to move their strike to the House of Representatives if they did not meet their demands.
