According to union sources, the workers of Abraj Al Arab Contracting Company have not received their salaries, despite the withdrawal of the complaint in the Ministry of Labour.
The sources added that the employees of the company did not receive their salaries for more than two months, and after the arrival of their case to the Ministry of Labour, the administration paid some employees, who discussed with the inspectors of the Ministry of Labour, thus, the complaint was dropped.
The employees of the company confirm that the majority of workers have not received their salaries until now, which is a clear violation of Article 46 / A, which stipulates:
"The wage shall be paid within a period that does not exceed seven days from the date of entitlement and the employer shall not deduct any part of it, except in the cases permitted by law."
