The expelled workers in the city of Tangier revealed that some companies deprived them of their jobs, in collusion with the authorities, because of their involvement in the trade union work.
The workers took part in the vigil called by the Moroccan Workers’ Union on January 20 to denounce their non-receipt of their trade union receipt and the restriction on the trade union activity in the city.
The workers talked about the involvement of the local authorities in the workers’ expulsion decisions, which explains their suspicious silence towards the unfair decisions taken by SEBN, DELVI and IBM TERMINALS and their deliberate violation of the law.
The workers also confirmed that these companies put the names of the expelled workers on a "black list" so that they can’t be re-employed in other companies, to not spread their trade union values and ask for their rights among other workers.
