The National Union’s Office of the Ministry of the Moroccan Foreign Residents and Migrant Affairs Workers, affiliated to of the Moroccan Workers’ Union expressed its displeasure regarding the decision to deduct the salaries of the employees – the administrators, who participated in the national strike of the administrators’ authority on 19 and 20 December 2018. The office stated in a communiqué that this type of procedure is a precedent for this ministry, as it restricts the constitutional right to strike.
On the other hand, the Ministry's employees complain about the non-payment of the compensation of tasks in the cases associated with the expenses, contrary to what is happening in most of the administrations. In this regard, the office renewed its emphasis on the right of employees to benefit from all the compensations with the implementation of the principle of equality and transparency in assigning these tasks both inside and outside the country.
The administration also deals in a strange way with the integration of the new employees, which was the case with the exclusion of a member of the Trade Union Bureau. The union questioned the reasons behind the cancellation of the promises pledged by the administration, previously, declaring its total solidarity with the trade union official, asking for its immediate integration, like the rest of the beneficiaries of the integration process, which has been suspended for more than three years.
On the other hand, the Trade Union Bureau expressed its surprise regarding the delay in announcing the date of selection of the heads of department in the ministry.
