The Moroccan Workers’ Union objects the Ministry of Family, Solidarity, Equality and Social Development in protest against the minister's efforts to present a project to dissolve the Social Development Agency, calling on all its members in the National Union of the Social Development Agency to organize two protests in front of the ministry and the parliament in yellow jackets on February 8 2019.
The Secretary-General of the Moroccan Workers’ Union, Miloudi Moukharik, had contacted the Prime Minister, Saad Eddin Othmani, on the subject, explaining that the decision to dissolve the agency is not in line with the general context of the state, especially in regard with the restructuring of the social field.
The administrative committee of the central union called on establishing a basic and fair system for the employees of the agency, accusing the Prime Minister, Saad Eddin Othmani, of being responsible for the chaos in the institution, and calling on its members in the development agency to carry out a national strike.
It called also on the acceleration in the holding of the four-party meeting, which signed the agreement on 27 June 2011, as the guarantor to accelerate any new and clear dialogue on improving the financial status of users, declaring the month of February as the month of anger and March as the month of escalation, accusing the minster of being fully responsible for the " dissolving of the institution", and the impoverishment of its users.
In his letter to the Othmani, Miloudi explained that the project of dissolving the agency has become a hindrance to the amendment of the basic system that the users of the Agency for Social Development have been waiting for since 2011, in accordance with the four-party agreement signed by the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry in charge, the administration and the National Union of the Social Development Agency.
