The 55 000 contract teachers of the national education protest again by launching a four-day national strike from 19 February, accompanied by a national march towards Rabat, coinciding with the celebration of 20 February.
This came in the statement of the "National Coordination of Teachers, which revealed that they were forced to work under contract", which was published on their official Facebook page, during the meeting of the National Assembly.
The same statement called for the abolition of the contract system and asked for the appointment of the teachers in the public office without conditions, amid the disregard policy exercised by the ministry towards their rights and struggles.

The teachers called for the payment of the 2018 dues at once, without discrimination or procrastination.
The contracting professors had carried out a number of strikes between September and December 2018 to ask for their integration in the public service, while the ministry and the government cling to the employment decision to contract with the academies, as they are public institutions with autonomous administration and finance.
