Three education unions, the National Union of Education of the Democratic Federation of Labour (FDT), the National Union of Education of the Democratic Federation of Labour (CDT), and the National Federation of Education asked for the retreat from cutting the strikers' wages and their provision with the urgent and reassuring answers, regarding their outstanding issues.
The national offices of the three educational unions held a meeting in Rabat on Thursday, 17 January 2019, to discuss the latest developments in the tense educational situation, as a natural result of the government and the Ministry of National Education’s continuation to pursue the same decisions to dismantle the public education by abandoning it, as well as, through the violation of the educational workers’ rights, the ignoring of their legitimate and just demands, and the disruption of social dialogue, both centrally and sectorally.
