In a statement to the Iraqi “Al-Baynna” channel, the legal expert, Tariq Harb, stated that the government's decision about the wages of the daily and contractual workers cannot be implemented without its ratification by the House of Representatives.
He pointed out that the Council of Ministers’ decision provides the contractual employees privileges of the public employee without an increase in the salary, as well as, the inability to obtain a pension.
The expert added that this decision stipulates also for the integration of daily workers as contractual workers, but their salaries will remain as they are without any increasing.
