The court of first instance in the city of Agadir decided in a hearing on Monday morning January 21 to delay the follow-up file of Abdullah Rahmoun, a member of the executive bureau of the Democratic Confederation of Labour and the general secretary of the local union of the Agadir confederation, to a meeting on March 4th.
This trial comes in the context of a series of judicial follow-ups, led by trade union leader Abdullah Rahmoun, and has become known as the "Holiday Service" case.
Rahmoun, who during the recent years has become a prominent figure in the judicial proceedings, along with a number of trade union officials in the confederation, is facing a number of charges, which were prepared by some of the employers' organizations, because of his confronting of all forms of domination, injustice, exploitation and flagrant violation of the labour rights, gains and trade union freedoms.
In his latest statements to the trade union officials, the head of the trade union center, Abdelkader Zayer, said that the trial of Abdullah Rahmoun, the adviser Abdelhak Haissan and the arrest of Mohammed Lkotaib before he was released, is a follow-up for the Democratic Confederation of Labour.
The Democratic Confederation of Labour organized national convoys of cars in the city of Agadir for the support of Rahmoun and the other workers of the "Doha" company, the first destination in 2016, followed by the city of Muhammadiyah, which was a historic moment, then to end in Tangier, which took place on 11 January.
The General Secretary of the Center, Mr. Zair, explained the file of follow-up, arrest, expulsion, the freedoms’ violations and the restrictions of the confederation work to the Minister of the Interior, Mr. Abdel-Wafi Lafit, at their meeting in the headquarters of the Ministry in Rabat, the central’s administration, on the issue of the absence of social dialogue.
