The open-ended strike by the workers of Texfor and Sophia factories in the industrial area of Al-Majd in the city of Tangier has continued since last year, to ask for either their compensation or new job opportunities after they found themselves in the street.
The Sofia factory workers confirmed that they had been banned from entering the factory and decided to dismiss them because of their establishment of a union that belongs to the Democratic Confederation of Labour.
On the other hand, dozens of Texfor factory workers found themselves out, following the ran out of the factory’s responsible, who disappeared, leaving them without work or compensation after that many of them had spent years at the factory.
