Hundreds of workers of “Waset" company for Iraqi leather and textile industries continue to suffer from the insistence of the Ministry of Industry to privatize the company.
The workers stressed the need to support the institution, repair and provide tools for the laboratories, as well as, to boost the national production, fight corruption and protect the product for a good national industry.
The workers had launched a strike on December 26 in front of the gate of the textile factory "Kut” asking the Ministry of Industry to cancel the integration of the company and to resist corruption and activate the system of incentives, as well as, calculating the risk system from 2003, in addition to taking in consideration the academic diplomas and the enjoyment of plots of residential land, just like the state employees to standardize the payroll system.
