After the suspension of the strike on 17 December, the National Union of Hydrological Stations, Dams and Water Users and Observers decided to resume the protests to enter into an unlimited strike starting from Monday, 24 December.
In our previous e-newsletters, we mentioned that the National Syndicate has consistently condemned the Ministry of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water for ignoring the legitimate and fair demands of users and observers of the hydrological stations, dams and water. It called for accelerating in the payment of the wages as stipulated by the laws and the opening of a serious and responsible dialogue on the social coverage, accident insurance and the workers’ deprivation of their minimum wages.
