The Pension Board’s employees in the Basra province launched a strike on December 12th because of the non-disbursement of their incentives, asking the Ministry of Finance to meet their demands, as soon as possible.
The local media said that the Basra Pension Board is suffering from a big shortage of workers and that it is in dire to employ to provide the necessary services for the auditors of the department.
The protesters called for meeting their demands to pay their financial incentives and to provide them with a new building as a headquarter, that is capable of accommodating all their occupational requirements.
