A tense social situation in Nestlé Morocco

The social situation in Nestlé Morocco has become tenser and more stressful, following the administration’s non-adherence to its commitments.

The employees of the Moroccan workers’ union launched a strike on last 29 and 30 November due to the absence of dialogue between the workers and the administration, and the company's non-commitment to implement the contents of the agreement signed by both parties (workers and company) with the presence of the authorities and representatives of the labour directorate.

The workers of Nestlé Morocco ask the company's management to open the door of dialogue with them and to implement the signed agreement between them, concerning the resolution of a set of pending points, including discussing the files of 2017-2018 and activating the provisions of the 2016 protocol concerning the promotion mechanism.

The workers ask also for an increase in the budget of social work, considering that it "does not meet the level of international companies" and to adopt a clear strategy for the restructuring process pursued by the company, with the participation of trade union representatives.
