Last Thursday, a comprehensive commercial strike was carried out in mourning for the martyr “Ashraf Naalwa” from the “Shuweika” suburb of Tulkarm, who was assassinated by the Israeli occupation forces at dawn Thursday in the new military refugee camp near Nablus.
Dozens of citizens marched in the streets of the city. A convoy of cars started from the “Shuweika” neighbourhood of Tulkarm, the birthplace of the martyr. Moreover, tires were ignited in the public places, as well as, the postponement of the examinations at the university, condemning the crime of the occupation.
It is worth mentioning that the occupation authorities accused “Naalwa” of being responsible for the “Volcano” operation, which took place on the seventh of last October and led to the killing of two settlers and the injuring of the third.
The Israeli occupation forces launched arrest campaigns against the cities, towns and villages in several governorates and set hundreds of checkpoints to search for “Naalwa”.
The Israeli occupation forces ordered the demolition of two floors of “Naalwa”’s house in the suburb of "Shuweika" north of Tulkarm. In fact, the Israeli Supreme Court rejected the appeal filed by the family of “Naalwa” against the house demolition decision, allowing the occupation forces to demolish the house at any moment, and they even arrested “Naalwa” ‘s father, mother and brother since the beginning of the “Volcano” operation.
