The labor inspectorates in Tunisia are angry and threaten to file a complaint to the International Labor Organization (ILO)

The labor inspectorates in Tunisia renewed their commitment to the implementation of the national and international legislation, which regulates the work of the labor inspectorates, expressing their dissatisfaction with the disregard and procrastination of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Social Affairs in the issuance of the comprehensive remuneration system for the members of the general organization for the labor inspectorates and conflict management, a decision, which was issued on 15 July 2014.

At their meeting on 3 November at the headquarters of the Tunisian General Labor Union (UGTT), labor inspectorates expressed their readiness to enter into a two-day strike, which will be scheduled after coordination between the trade union center and the labor inspectorates’ union. They also threatened to lodge a complaint with the Director-General of the International Labor Organization (ILO) regarding the non-implementation of the provisions of the International Convention number 81 regarding labor inspection. #complaint #ILO #labor_inspectorates #Tunisia #anger
