Egypt has witnessed a wide-ranging campaign through social media pages to ask for the punishment for those responsible for the violent attack on a vegetable vendor.

"Ras Al-Bar" in Damietta province has witnessed a painful incident, where the victim is a vegetable vendor in her thirties in the public market 63, whom the officials of the local unit have deliberately destroyed the products.

The campaigners called for the need to take into consideration the humanitarian cases and implement the law, while the Damietta Governor referred the accused to investigations to take all the deterrent measures against them.
