The protest rallies launched by the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT) continue in many public sectors to pressure the government to complete the negotiations regarding the increase in wages.
Throughout this week many protestors were gathered from the education, health, and municipalities sectors and from various ministries under the supervision of the union center to continue protesting until next week, and a few days before carrying out the scheduled strike.
It is known that the national administrative body of the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT) has witnessed a general strike in the public sector on November 22 to ask for a respectable increase in the workers’ salaries in order to adjust them with the purchasing power, which has been shaken by the insane rise of prices and asks also to review the general law for the public sector.
