According to the National Agency for Information, the teachers of secondary education held a strike, in front of the Ministry of Education on Monday to protest against the non-receipt of their salaries, at the beginning of the new school year.
In fact, August and September salaries have not been paid yet. The federation presidency did not authorize their payment, on the grounds of the uninsured funds and the lack of liquidity; however, they had previously acknowledged that the salaries are insured until the 12th month, according to the protestors.
Besides, the protesters announced that the ministry is manipulating them and their destinies, which made them unable to register our children in schools and high schools which advancement and development are the consequence of their own work.
The teachers asked for the payment of August’s salary for a regulating decree within a short period of time that would allow them to join and keep up with the new school year, threatening to stop their work and enter into a strike if their legitimate demands are not met.
