"Asharq Al-Awsat" newspaper announced that the several economic bodies, trade unions and private jobs in Lebanon have the intention to raise their voice and launch a warning cry under the slogan "Together to save our homeland," in a move aimed at urging the officials to accelerate the formation of the government and save the economic situation.
The concerned parties confirm that their move will be not limited to issuing data or documents and that there is a tendency to launch an open-ended strike and halt the work of entire sectors, but it has not been scheduled yet, whether it will be on Tuesday or it will depend on the officials’ decision.
These bodies are expected to focus on the acceleration in the government formation to prevent the collapse of the economic and social situation and to go through the required reforms, as their lack may lead to the halt of assistance.
According to the newspaper, these bodies will also call on being responsible and avoid the quarrels for the interest of the country, which is suffering from an economic crisis as a result of overspending and corruption, which requires the joint efforts of everyone before reaching the stage of collapse.
