The Tassili Airlines pilots have launched on a unique protest movement, since last Tuesday, known as the “The wings’ strike". In fact, the pilots continue to work normally, but in civilian clothes and not in uniforms.
According to the head of the union, the administration ignored their demands, as until today, the pilots are still deprived of their uniform for more than three years, in addition to the management's insistence on hiring new pilots from outside the company and allowing them to drive large size aircrafts, without prior experience.
The head of the union said in a media statement that the " The wings’ strike" will continue until having discussions with the administrations, stressing that the non-settling of their problems will lead them to the escalation in their protests through paralyzing the air traffic in the coming days, noting that the protesters’ demands have nothing to do with the wage increases, as it is all about to the improving of their working environment.
