Hundreds of residents of the Basra province protested on Sunday (September 16th) to ask for the fate for 30 protestors, who disappeared, last Thursday in the province.
The protestors gathered in front of the Human Rights Commission in Basra raising slogans condemning the government's attitude towards the disappearance of the protestors, and asking for the need to accelerate in the adoption of the adequate procedures to reveal who kidnapped them.
The General federation of Iraqi workers denounced the large number of arrests, asking for the release of the detainees and appealing to the human rights organizations to pressure the Iraqi’s government to stop arresting the activists.
